Consistency delicious!! The owner is always there and is great. His employees are awesome! Been going there for so many years, the original location and current location. The ambiance is lovely! It's very inviting. A must try!

I have always liked this place. Consistency good. Everything we have tried, we enjoyed.

A proper hidden gem. A Chinese food restaurant must be, big portions, cheap, and filled with flavor. An ugly delicious factor must be present, all embodied in china cafe. Maybe it's the location, maybe it's the basic name that would disuade you from stopping by, but it's a matter of time that this gem is found. We start off with the clean, classic yet modern and cozy ambiance throughout. Excellent, attentive, and polite service, truly a 5 star staff. Now to the most important part. The food, we started off with the crab puffs, creamy delicious filling. The roasted duck was beyond any other duck I've had in Austin, juicy, yet crispy filled with flavor. Lastly we had the 7 wonders, a dish for 2, can't record this enough. At 30 dollars it feeds 2 more than enough with leftovers to take home. Scallops, tempura shrimp, tender steak, juicy chicken crisp veggies and so much more!! Ate here couple hours ago and can't stop thinking about it. I look forward to trying much more on the menu, and strongly suggest anyone to stop by and do the same.

I feel like everyone needs a favorite Chinese restaurant in their back pocket in case you're craving some fried rice or lo mein on the fly and don't know where to go. I highly recommend here. Wife and I have been coming for years and even spent a few Christmas Eve Dinners here in the past (although if you're gonna eat there on Christmas Eve, it's first come first serve). This is our favorite local nearby Chinese restaurant and always enjoy the food.

Somehow at 5 pm, I was hungry enough to devour 5 dishes with my family. My sister dragged me here after having frequent date nights and takeouts. All the meat and seafood dishes are out of this world. It was my first trying fried duck, which came with the brown sauce. A similar experience to eating Peking duck, minus the wraps/baos. The cumin beef was so tender and flavorful. I enjoyed the kung pao chicken- plenty of meat and good crispy batter proportion. But my all time favorite dish was the battered salt and pepper scallops. I can't believe I've been missing out for so long, since I didn't know this combo existed. Normally I order salt and pepper fish fillet or salt and pepper squid. But it is my new all time favorite Chinese fried dish. It is a must try!
